You left out debian, OpenSusE. Nobara also is supported by the install scripts.
I have an empty 500GB drive on SATA 2 and running full Linux Mint (Ubuntu) on SATA 1. I'm thinking I need to load a minimum Linux Mint on SATA 2 and then run the script to get Hyperland. Will this work since I am booted from SATA 1? Or do I need to boot into SATA 2 and then run the script? Any other tips or guidance appreciated before I destroy another perfectly good installation... LOL
I don't see the Hyprland option in System Setup

You can add Hyprland to your existing MINT configuration. Backing up is always recommended. Make sure you select the 24.04 branch of the ubuntu install script. otherwise the install will fail. It will take some time to build as many parts must be built from source on 24.04. 24.10 and later has a earlier version of Hyprland in their repo. So the install may appear to hang just WAIT
@ShireGrin I also don't have the option on CachyOS
If yiou are using Jak's script you do not need to install hyprland first. He has an install script to do that. That is separate from the Hyprland config files. You need select the correct installer for you OS. it will prompt you to install his dotfiles also.
I habe installed CachyOS with the plain Arch Linux option without any DE or WM

OK so what is the problem? If you clone the Jak Arch-Hyprland repo then run the ./install.sh script it will install hyprland for you and ask you if you want to install the Hyprland dotfiles as well
Yeah, but isn't this about the option to install it through the Linutils? It doesn't show the option for us.
I am not sure that he has posted it yet to his page. Also I believe his setup will at least to start will launch Jak's install scripts. Jak has also recently updated his code so you prob want to get it from Jak directly
thanks for putting us onto this... had no idea a setup could be so slick !
SDDM is not logging me in and goes in a loop. I can start Hyprland with exec Hyprland, though.
Make sure you are selecting "Hyprland" as the session, not "Hyprland-uwsm"
Thanks for your answer! Solved it

You're very welcome. Also try yay -S uwsm (or paru) You will likely now be able to login using either. Check the /usr/share/wayland-sessions/Hyprland-uwsm.desktop file. It should already have a line like this
Exec=uwsm start -- Hyprland If not add the uwsm start -- Hyprland You won't get all of the benefits of uwsm but it will at least let you login if you forget to change it
I was like shut your pihole, we gotta update our gravity list anyway good job, i love auto detetcting programs.
Why did you remove Hyprland option in the latest version of linutil ?????
