In my testing I am not seeing any advantage to using this over the existing CSS I have in place. At least in testing Chrome 37
Looks like that may be the best you can do. It looks like Chrome is the
only browser that supports good breaking (if we could give the
div.MessageText a width, I can get Firefox to do the same, but otherwise
it just expands the div instead of breaking)

What is this firefox you speak of?
It's probably hard to believe, but Internet Explorer doesn't support advanced word breaking yet, either.
