can not uninstall taskbarxi

So I recently installed taskbar xi, and when I first saw the transparent bar, I didn't like it. I looked for an uninstall option, but I couldn't find it, so I just removed the file, but now the background is still transparent. I tried looking for a tutorial, but I couldn't find any, so now I'm really frustrated, and I want you to please explain how to remove this app properly.

Hi Adlsmart,

When happens when you open the GUI and reset the configuration, do you have the task bar set up in the way you like it or back to default?

How did you install the app, through the windows store or did you download the app from github?

Any screenshots for context would be helpful too.

I kind of have the same issue. I did use TaskbarXI to set up a minimalistic taskbar. However I now want to revert all changes and go back to normal. I cannot do this.

1. Open the configurator
2. Press stop taskbarXI -> My taskbar reverts back to normal
3. Close configurator -> My taskbar goes back to the minimalistic one i set up using taskbarXI

How do I uninstall it and prevent it from applying its changes all the time.

I tried "Open the app in terminal"... typed .\TaskbarXI.exe -stop and it stopped. Then deleted the installer and related files.. Close the terminal and deleted the containing folder.

sorry bro. im having trouble uninstalling it too. it shows me the same error message. ive tried opening cmd and type in the command you gave and also if i check the list of installed apps it doesnt show any app saying task manager xi. help

guys i found the way to uninstall, first click on startup apps then click on taskbarxi click disable then delete the file

@dbennett-005 do this method and if you got dock version, uninstall rainmeter by running uninst in C:\Program Files\Rainmeter remember to check the Remove Settings checkbox

I know a way to stop and uninstall it completely Open Taskbarx configurator as administrator then click on stop Taskbar and then close the taskbar configurator then delete the files
