Never-ending full use of a single CPU core thread if the explorer process has been terminated

Open ufgf opened this issue 2 years ago • 2 comments

Describe the bug If you terminate the explorer.exe process (sometimes you have to, because it's Windows), then TaskbarX.exe starts to steadily consume ~7.5% of CPU on a 6-core 12-thread processor

To Reproduce Steps to reproduce the behavior:

  1. Launch TaskbarX.exe, make sure it centers the taskbar
  2. Terminate explorer.exe
  3. View CPU load by TaskbarX.exe process
  4. Understand, that there is clearly something wrong

Expected behavior Such behavior should not occur?

I have the same issue, just open task manager and click "Restart" on each "Explorer" process and.. TaskbarX will use 10% my CPU at background. To fix it I must go to TaskbarXConfigurator and press "Restart TaskbarX" (after ~0% usage). But it seems TaskbarX should detect Explorer restart automatically
