@fossfann, and for some it's just useless clutter.

@roeiedri, how does this functioning? Kotlin + XML or what is it called again? or what do you use for the UI/UX/GUI Design?

I think it's clutter but before some more come and suggest design ideas would it possible to just add a extra tab in the settings for advanced where they can use XML/CSS whatever so they can go DIY? what do you think?

I mean it would hold back clutter for the ones who just want to have a small dialer.. And if they want some design they can look up on github or google for Koler Design Text..

I would do some Designs.. Or someone could do a new Github Site where they make Docs about it how this all works :/ hm

But I think that's way to much work / re-coding right?

  • may my idea here is bulsh' and there is a more better solution to it.

I have "0" knowledge about developing :) you should ask @roeiedri

Yes, no it's fine, the first sentence was decided to you. The different stuff to him, I'll just suck at simplicity.

To avoid complicating things too much, you could just:

  • Ask for Storage permission (needed to retrieve the current wallpaper)
  • Then add that wallpaper as a custom background to the app
  • And set a 'transparency + blur backdrop filter' to the current white background

Here is an example:

We could just add a blur option in the settings and conditionally apply the crossWindowBlurListener introduced in A12 and set the BG color to a transparent one and voila!

Sounds good, but... What about people that do not have Android 12? 😔
