NEI wont show me any items on thie side

I have it installed, CCC too, and many mods. Itll show the bar on the top, Nei options in bottom corner, but no Item list will show up. I had to resort to an older version, which would make my game freeze then kick me out of the world, depending which item I would search. Thoughts?
