IPhone issues

Open reve0716 opened this issue 10 years ago • 13 comments

The First Issue The near “Me” function is giving me an error on message on the iPhone. i had this same error message on the desktop. The Android doesn’t give an error message.

image

The second Issue The iphone 5c and 6 in vertical view... the table after running a query results the column data doesn't all fit. If you click on the columns drop down you cannot see the data it presents. See Image below. If you turn the phone horizontally columns appear.

The Third issue when you are in advance search it will not allow you to reach the submit button unless its turned horizontally and even with that the submit button will not process, the screen starts acting funny (horizontally and vertically)scrolling partially up and down to a certain extent.

For the first one, this does not happen for me.

On the middle one (showing the columns dropdown), it works if you turn the phone landscape, so I'd advocate to leave it, unless the fix comes with one of the other ones. Same was true for Manage User columns not showing in portrait mode.

@tomschenkjr, please prioritize these.

I didn't get an geolocation error on the first issue. So, @reve0716, can you see if you can replicate this on your desktop?

Are these issues only for 5c or across all iPhone devices?

@reve0716 @tomschenkjr - the geo-location error you got happens by design. On any iPhone, if Location Service is turned off or if it is on but Safari or Chrome has "Allow location access" setting set to "Never", then you'll get this error message.

The second one does occur on iPhone 6 as well. As I noted, if you turn the phone landscape, it works ok. I changed my location service on my iPhone 6 and it now works for "near me".

Ok, so the first issue is resolved.

For the second and third, I think we need to prioritize this as "high". Getting it to work on mobile will be important.

The second one does work if you turn the phone. It's a third party tool, so we'll let you know what's involved.

On the third one, it only happens on the 5C and not on the 6. We'll take a look and see what is involved for it as well.

Issue I am able to see the full column grid in tableview vertically image

This is how the tableview appears horizontally the entire columns is not showing and I cant scroll down to see the last column. Cant see City, Latitude and Longitude.

image

issue three I was able to scroll up and down without a problem vertically but when I ran the search horizontally I get the same issue. I have a screenshot it seems the bar to pull up the tablegrid is moving up and down maybe that could be the reason why I cant scroll down to the submit button.

Issue 1 - seems resolved Issue 2 - I think it's a less severe issue if it only appears on landscape. Issue 3 - Ditto, less concerned on landscape issues

tomschenkjr avatar Sep 16 '15 20:09 tomschenkjr

Removed "high" priority per @tomschenkjr note above.

Re: looking into 3rd party tool and landscape issues-- Hi @dianaclem were you able to look into issues 2 and 3?

No...these are low priority. Not looking into those until they have a higher priority
