Images copied from Google Chrome by Copy Image when on a website sometimes don't work when pasting.

Seems to be an issue, when the tag has an "alt" property. (Other extra properties might do the same [speculation])

Inspecting clipboard data using InsideClipboard software reveals that "alt" property makes chrome add an extra UniformResourceLocatorW data value (with the url for the image).
