Feature Request: Download files into memory

It's inefficient that every file has to be stored on disk first. Sometimes I just want to download a file and manipulate it in memory right away.

Hey! Not ignoring you guys, I just haven't had much time to dedicate to this. If someone makes a PR, I'll happily include it. Otherwise, I can't make any guarantees that I'll get to it any time soon.

Hey! Did anybody find anything on this part ? I am also looking for a solution as i am dealing with data more than 300GB. downloading and manipulating them is a real deal.
