I think we need a `default_period` setting so everyone can choose if they prefer to see weekly, monthly, or yearly amounts.

I've reopened #16 to discuss switching our payment cycle from weekly to monthly.

The [Translator API](https://developer.mozilla.org/en-US/docs/Web/API/Translator) can be used to ask a browser to translate a text. It's currently only supported by Chrome.

We could also use these elements in ledgers, to group together multiple transfers to the members of a team.
