modal dialogs

There's a gnome tweak allowing one to choose wether to "join modal dialogs" or not. When using gnomesome, this setting is not respected: modals use their own place wether that setting is checked or not. What is expected ? that the modal is shown above the window creating it, not next to it.

Unfortunately, I could not really reproduce this. I tried Libre Office (e.g. modal Open dialog). Yet, I made a change to ignore windows that are attached dialogs which could fix this issue. If this is true, feel free to do so.
