Voxel Sandcastle Crashes in FIrefox

What happened?

This Voxel sandcastle crashes instantly in Firefox (Cesium 1.130, macOS Sequoia 15.5, M4 Max, Firefox version 139.0.4 (aarch64)).

It does not crash in Chrome.

Reproduction steps

  1. Open Firefox
  2. Load this sandcastle
  3. Witness crash

Environment

Browser: Firefox CesiumJS Version: 1.130 Operating System: macOS Sequoia 15.5

This seems to be OS/Graphics-Card-specific. It "Works For Me®" with

  • CesiumJS 1.130
  • FireFox 139.0.4
  • Windows 10
  • NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2070 (hey, it was fast, once... )

I can also reproduce on Firefox on a Mac.

The Sandcastle works for me on:

  • CesiumJS 1.134
  • Firefox 143.0.4
  • Windows 11
  • NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4070

@jjspace any chance you could check it on Linux?

@jjhembd The linked voxel sandcastle seems to work perfectly fine for me including all the dropdown options

  • CesiumJS 1.134
  • Firefox 143.0.4
  • Kubuntu 25.04
  • GeForce RTX 4070
