That is a Chrome constraint, the hot key has to be set in the manifest and so it's not possible to change the hot key after building the addon.
@marleyjaffe I don't know if I misunderstand you, but you shouldn't upload a zip of the extension folder, but the release ([Falcon_v0.1.4.crx](https://github.com/lengstrom/falcon/releases/download/0.1.4/Falcon_v0.1.4.crx)) just renamed to Falcon_v0.1.4.xpi. This works for me.
Without specifying the tempFolderId parameter, it works for me.
