Dark planet bug on 1.7.0 on 32-bit Windows

Open SevenSpheres opened this issue 2 years ago • 1 comments

Describe the bug This issue has now been reported by two 32-bit Windows users who installed Celestia 1.7.0 using cartrite's installer. Objects orbiting stars appear completely dark, while (most?) objects orbiting barycenters or planets are displayed normally. This happens on both the Qt and native Windows frontends. It does not happen on 64-bit Windows, even with 32-bit Celestia.

Probably a lower-priority issue, since there aren't many 32-bit Windows users anymore.

To Reproduce Steps to reproduce the behavior:

  1. Install Celestia 1.7.0 on 32-bit Windows
  2. Look at Earth
  3. See error

Expected behavior Earth should be light on the dayside.

Screenshots lighting problem

Desktop (please complete the following information):

  • OS: 32-bit Windows
  • Frontend: Qt, native Win
  • Version: 1.7.0
