h-encore ps vita 3.68 when installing plugin storagemgr.skprx music does not work. I can export music to music app, but when I try to play it there, there is always an error appeared.

Duplicate of issue 42

Not sure what's causing this, but on my vita music is working fine after exporting them. How are you exporting the music files? Try re-exporting them

Edit: Confirmed not working for 3.65 ENSO either. It was working once after exporting but upon rebooting the vita, error is displayed when playing on music app.

I've already done that.I've tried to export them using vitashell, molecularshell and then used media importer to update database. I've tried to empty database and add it again. Nothing helps.

I can open music in vitashell, but not in the music app.

RinaGordi avatar Aug 18 '18 10:08 RinaGordi

You have to use QCMA to transfer music from PC to PSVita.

Using a 3.68 PSVITA 2000 with h-encore Booting the system and going directly to the music app let's me play the music located on the official memory card but after opening h-encore, installing henkaku and mounting SD2VITA automatically with storagemgr all of the songs become corrupted and throw the message "An error has ocurred" when I try to play them If I try to transfer music via QCMA it asks me if i want to overwrite the files, after copying them it shows the error "Could not copy some content items", when closing and opening the app it list every song that I tried to transfer but it displays the same message "An error has ocurred" when trying to play them If i transfer the songs to ux0/music, empty and update the database using the Media Importer app, the songs remain the same and throws the same error as before, I read somewhere that shuffle play could fix the issue but it didn't helped, I managed to play the music from VitaShell with this method but in games like Project Diva where it asks me to choose songs from the library it acts like there are no songs on the database to play Rebooting the vita and trying everything again in different order also didn't helped

Been watching this as I have the same issue. 3.68 h-encore with sd2vita. Music will not transfer via opencma or qcma ("An Error has occured"). Cannot export media mp3s from vita shell ("error 0x80105308") and Mediaimporter vpk exported tracks to the music app, but none of them play ("An Error has occured"). Tracks played fine before on vita mem card, and still play fine in vitashell from sd2vita, just no way to get them into the official app.

Was posted as h-encore bug but TheOfficialFloW said it was a storage manager issue: https://github.com/TheOfficialFloW/h-encore/issues/42

I'm getting the same error. My music plays in Vitashell, but I also have some m4a files that it can't play. They work fine when storagemgr isn't running.

Confirmed not working for 3.65/60 ENSO either. It was working once after exporting but upon rebooting the vita, error is displayed when playing on music app. When storagemgr 3.0 isn't running, exported music plays fine.

Seams like music0: is not mounted after ux0 redirection.

CelesteBlue-dev avatar Aug 23 '18 13:08 CelesteBlue-dev

Why does it redirect things to themselves instead of doing nothing? All I use storagemgr is to mount internal memory, I'd assume it wouldn't redirect if everything went to itself.

Same issue on 3.68 Vita 2000 with h-encore. VitaShell export error 0x80105308.

@CelesteBlue-dev It may be because its standard Sony Procedure to invoke MagicGate to "verify" the Music's DRM Status before playing ^-^ see: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/MagicGate

LiEnby avatar Oct 06 '18 11:10 LiEnby

@KuromeSan So then why does it fail even when using a real memory card as ux0?

shny-scott avatar Oct 06 '18 14:10 shny-scott

@SCOTT0852 "It works by encrypting the content on the device and using MagicGate chips in both the storage device and the reader to enforce control over how files are copied."

Is it possible Sony memory cards have a MagicGate chip embedded in them to support the verification?

Aetheron avatar Oct 08 '18 20:10 Aetheron

Is it possible Sony memory cards have a MagicGate chip embedded in them to support the verification? @Aetheron I originally used storagemgr to just mount my internal memory card as imc0 to fix the trophy exploit, but even with UX=ux0 in the config the music didn't work. I've got an sd2vita now, but I just use my PSP & phone for music.

@Aetheron this issue is not present back when I used gamesd.skprx instead of storagemgr plugin. So I think it is a plugin issue

Any news ? I Have the same problens on 3.68 H-Encore Ps Vita Fat (1000)

Update: My problem is solved... I have updated the plugin for the version 3.0 and the problem solved ... Update 2: Actually the problem was not solved ... after installing SD2Vita 2.1 and StorageMr 3.0 the problem came back ... I think I made a mistake in the Update above ...

It was just a random theory I hadn't tested anything :)

@Aetheron which version of gamesd did you use. same issue occur in storagemge v3.0 and gamesd v1.4 my vita is also 1000 but system is 3.65 h-encore

Alcanderian avatar Dec 06 '18 11:12 Alcanderian

@Alcanderian I think @itsminht is the person you're looking for

I haven't used gamesd, only storagemgr, and I've only tried playing music with the current version (v 3.0)

Aetheron avatar Dec 12 '18 19:12 Aetheron

I dont know why but my hacked Vita can play music with the player, and Project Diva F recognized the music. I did encountered the problem before. I had my Vita downgraded to 3.65 and i tried the latest ver of storagemgr instead of gamesd, and now it works!

rossi7962 avatar Apr 18 '19 16:04 rossi7962

I have also encountered the Error 0x80105308 when using "Options" > "More" > "Export Media" to import music with VitaShell (2.0) 😭.

But after many tries, it doesn't seems to be an issue from StorageMgr (3.0).

I tried to use this simple ur0:/tai/config.txt and hm... i still have the exact same error !

✔️ Rebooting the PS Vita device each time after copying new music files (fix this issue in my case 😸) ❌ Restarting only VitaShell doesn't works.

🔧 My current base setup is an HENkaku Ensō 3.65 on a PCH-1004 model

april 2024 the problem is still present! 3.60 henkaku R11 psvita 1004 after some tests i noticed that is a plugin issue! if i reboot my psvita without enabling henkaku the music app starts working fine, and the app stops working after i enable henkaku BUT! only if storagemgr is enabled, if i disable the plugin the music app starts working even on henkaku
