Paste can extend below last row of grid

Is there a setting I'm missing to not allow paste to extend past the last row of the grid?

For example, if I paste a range that is four cells tall starting in the last row of your example, it adds three new rows with the pasted values. I want to avoid this behavior. Please let me know if I've missed an option.
