Camera quality when screen capturing

the quality of the camera stream when screen capturing is quite fuzzy, namely when capturing screen with text, the stream output is too fuzzy and makes the text unreadable, this is while recording in OBS at the same settings shows crisp clear picture.... any idea why? or what sort of logs can I share to get better insight here?

here's a screenshot of what the recieving end looks like over Zoom (same result in Google Meet)

this is being captured at 1080p and video settings are set to 1080p

Exactly the same mayor problem here. Running newest versions of all involved programmes/plugins (OBS, Virtual Cam, Skype for Business).

Addition: Rolling back also doesn't solve the issue. Went back as far as OBS 22.0.2 and Virtual Cam 2.0.3, which must have worked back in the day, because I used those successfully. Still no change.

I have the same issue. Resolution in OBS is 1920x1080. Text is not readable in Skype.
