obs-virtual-cam VirtualCam flickering

Hey,

Been using this extension forever, love it. I stream my games to my GF through discord using it. We've been doing this over a year now, but we get this weird problem that is starting to frustrate me. Sometimes it'll start flickering from grey to whatever I'm streaming. Here's an example: https://gyazo.com/6ceda0ac80dc23213d21592fb48aa287

Is there any way to fix this? Can I downscale the webcam output maybe?

Which version of the virtualcam plugin are you running?

The flickering usually means the camera can't get the video in time so it will try to reopen the communication channel . And this problem will occur when your computer is very busy and short of computing resource. Change obs output resolution or using more buffer settings in the obs-virtualcam menu may solve this problem.

And the webcam output resolution is following the obs main output resolution in the current version, I was thinking about if there's necessary to put an independent resolution setting for the virtualcam, but I didn't do it after all . Maybe I will rethink about that.
