obs-virtual-cam not recognized in Devices and Printers

Title states the issue. I believe this is because Virtual Cam is a software device and not hardware, however if it is possible to emulate a hardware device this would allow wonderful features such as the ability to access virtualcam from within a sandboxed VM.
