Massive increase in CPU load as soon as this plugin is active

Hi,

this plugin works great in OBS Studio! I can use OBS as a virtual cam and it shows well in a chrome Jitsi-meet session! But: as soon as I activate the plugin in OBS, CPU load skyrockets from before 10% to at least 75%, and it leads to a shutdown of the computer due to overheating. I'm using KDE/plasma on arch linux with nvidia drivers on a quad core Thinkpad mobile workstation (P50). Anyone sees that too? What settings (output and so on) do you use in OBS? Thanks!

I see aprox 15 ~ 20% of overload when starting v4l2sink on my side.
