[Feature request] status bar icon & popup menu

I used to use the Get Info plugin by Chetachi (here's the link to it: Get Info ), yet it really upset me that it didn't work for long time, and as you can see the plugin is no longer maintained by the developer. That's why I finally turn to your plugin, which is really really cool and robust. Yet I still prefer the way that there is a status bar icon and then a menu pops up by clicking on the icon. Could you please consider adding this functionality to your plugin? That would be so kind!
