mkinitcpio ERROR: module not found: 'crc32c_intel'

trying to install catos on thinkpad t460s

seems to relate to: https://bbs.archlinux.org/viewtopic.php?id=304822

but I can't find occurence of crc32c in /etc/mkinitcpio.conf

Command <i>mkinitcpio</i> exit with code 1.

These CPU specific crc32 modules were deprecated in favour of the generic implementation. It's crc32c now for both AMD and Intel CPUs.
