Can thumbnail gathering be moved to a separate thread to avoid blocking UI?

Edit: Posted to early. Needs more investigation.

It's already in a separate thread. It's updating the tree that blocks the UI. I'm sure you can optimize that.

It seems like it only blocks if you add items to the rundown.
