Players often get speed buff on joining

Minecraft: Version 1.17.1, Fabric w/ Cardboard installed Mods: Only Cardboard and Lithium Plugins: Only Essentials and CoreProtect

Somehow people often get extra walking speed when joining the server. This is not always the case, but say 80% of the players get this kind of glitch. Editing the speed with Essentials or healing the player does not work; the only thing that works is killing the player. At that point the speed buff is removed.

No stacktrace nor error. Anyone with the same issue or solved the problem?

I've gotten the same issue on the 1.18 version. Dunno if anyone knows the fix?

Just delete Essencials it doesn't work anyway and probably this cause the problem

Any proof that Essentials is causing this issue? Because I currently use Essentials without any trouble in my Server.

I also sent this issue in Discord a few weeks ago, and got response from Moderators that "Yes the walking speed being avidly faster is a bug we all seem to be having. It sounds like @IsaiahPatton 's next update" - RichardIsSoarx

I'm currently still on an older version of Cardboard, so I don't know if this is solved in build 46.
