Badlands Revival does not work correctly

Open myyk opened this issue 1 year ago • 8 comments

Update Usability is confusing, the graveyard is minimized after selecting the first card. Maybe it could be brought back if there's a legal target for the second action?

Describe the bug Badlands Revival doesn't do the second half even when there is a valid target in the graveyard.

Card Script: https://github.com/Card-Forge/forge/blob/6831c900678077d3177c9c673ef30b32ff577102/forge-gui/res/cardsfolder/b/badlands_revival.txt

To Reproduce Steps to reproduce the behavior: 0. I put the minimum repro setup in a Puzzle. forge_1_6_62_badlands_revival_repro.txt

  1. Load Puzzle, I'm not sure how. The setup is basically just a creature and another permanent (artifact for example) in your grave. With Badlands Revival in hand and enough mana to cast it.
  2. Cast Badlands Revival
  3. See error that you can't get your other Permanent to hand.

Expected behavior The card works as stated.

Desktop (please complete the following information):

  • OS: Windows
  • Version: 1.6.62

works fine for me...

@tool4ever It both returns the creature and the permanent to your hand? It only ever does one for me. I'm on the latest stable version.

no, why should it? the first target is for the battlefield

Sorry, that's correct.

Oh, did it auto-select the permanent to go to hand and the other permanent to the battleground? I'm not at my computer now, I'll have to double check. But I thought it wasn't returning any cards to hand.

@tool4ever Oh I see, the card does function properly. It's a user error. Though, the UI is confusing and I wonder if it could be improved.

After selecting the creature to return, it does prompt to select the permanent but the view of the graveyard doesn't stay open. The user has to reopen the graveyard manually to select a permanent.

I'm glad I know how to do this though, but it is unintuitive imo. (Pls feel free to close if this isn't really a fixable issue.)

@kevlahnota can you look at the GUI part of this problem?
