[Feature request] Automatic gamepad mode toggling

I play on both PC and on Steam Deck and sync my character config together with Syncthing. When switching between them, I have to manually open the character settings and change between mouse & keyboard/gamepad and fix it for the appropriate platform. Having ST set the config value for me, and having what it sets the option to be different on each device, would solve this problem automatically.
