Comment editing by OP and the community

Comments lack an edit button to correct typo/figures or to fix mistakes. If I want to precise a comment (whether it's mine or someone else's) I have to answer it, sometimes leading to long threads. I would rather have 1 or 2 medium/long detailed comments rather than 5/6 short comments. I think an editing feature as Stackoverflow's one (anyone can edit others' comments) could enhance the clarity of the discussions.

Permettre aux utilisateurs de modifier le contenu, la source et le type (commentaire, réfutation ou confirmation) de leur contribution, tant qu'elle n'a reçu aucun vote ou commentaire.
