"What happened to the 'Hide Mesh' feature?" and "Invisible Bone Attachments?"
When editing a Bone, you could checkbox "Hide Mesh", which literally hid that bone from the rest. What happened to that?
Also, whenever a bone is gone (size 0, hide mesh (when that was still a feature), if it disappears from hiding the entire thing (hide entity), etc.), how come things attached to it don't attach correctly? When editing stuff you sometimes have to make it 0.025 or something to get it to work with stuff. Why can't it work when the bone size is at 0 or with a hidden mesh?
It was disabled due to crashes, but latest develop code released a fix for it.
So does the new dev version have it?
Also, what about the second question?
Hidemesh actually shrinks the bone so maybe that's why.
But why do things that are attached to the bone not work correctly when the bone is "disappeared"?
Let's say I hide or shrink a steering wheel bone to 0, then attach a steering wheel prop to it. The prop is still "attached" at the bone's location, but it's static rotation/wise. So maybe the model will always face one direction (such as north on the map) no matter what. Or if it was an arrow facing that way instead of a steering wheel prop.
Hm, I've never tried the hide mesh feature so not sure. See if the latest code has the same problem.
Well I can't really use hide mesh in the newest version, but resizing or anything bone-related that shrinks it till it's gone or makes it vanish in some way will cause it.
Which yes, it still does.
