@mariru27 I went ahead and implemented this feature. The PR is ready to review. Let me know what you think. The only thing that needs work from your side is the appropriate set of icons for the file- and folder-selection-buttons.

Hi @johanneskopf, I went through your code and added an icon for the file. Right now, it's in the testing phase and it can be integrated soon. I'm curious, could you share why you prefer using a file picker instead of the ignore file option from the context menu? Maybe you forgot or didn't know about this feature?
