Bugs are occasionally introduced due to platform updates. This is especially common with the two yearly major releases e.g. as fixed by this pull request.

Describe the solution you'd like

We should maintain an environment with early opt-in for major releases. Test suite should be ran against this environment daily. This will allow us to capture and fix breaking changes introduced by major and minor updates as early as possible, resulting in greater stability.
