Do you know if 0.3.38 worked for you, or was this a fresh install? Next update will have a more informative error message.

Tried to update to 0.3.41 and now it throws this error:

That's interesting, are you capturing a external display? I suspect CGDisplayModeGetRefreshRate isn't entirely reliable and returns 0 for some displays

Nope, just my MBP screen.

I have the same problem (Error Media error: Failed to launch task: screen_capture build / receiving on a closed channel) however on MacOS 12.7.6
