Issues with regions and multiple screens

Open SirLouen opened this issue 9 months ago • 1 comments

For some reason, when capturing a region, regardless of where you place the region, it will pick the region, but in the selected screen in the screen selector

For example, if I draw a square on screen 1 but screen 2 is selected, it will pick the capture of that square, but in screen 1.

I think that the region selector should pick the exact region selected, regardless of the selected screen.

PS: I have Windows 11 and 3 screens.

i have a similar issue i have 3 monitors and if i pre-select one of them at pick a region it works for 2/3 monitors for the 1 remaining monitor it always shows up on one of the others (my case

there is one minor specialty: one of the monitors has a vertical rotation and i cannot capture this via the built-in screenshot utils, so here you go via a photo 😅

it would be really nice if you could drag the selection across screens, suspending the overlay while moving the capture area 😊

macOS 15.1.1 btw
