just took annual cap pro, please make it faster, also why is creating shareable link taking like 10 seconds? isnt it just some db operation

literally took my 1 min to do a video and i have to wait 45 seconds to get the link

@louis030195 right now when you create a shareable link, copy to clipboard or export video, it will always first render the video. This is what takes up the majority of time.

we know that's not ideal for people who want instant, shareable links... so we are working on "instant mode" which will not render the video, and also upload whilst recording. To make this work, it won't record the two videos separately (webcam + screen recording), it'll just be one singular video (Loom style).

in the meantime, if you are primarily using Cap to send shareable links, you can enable "Create shareable link after stop recording" in settings. This will provide you with a shareable link immediately after stopping the recording, and continue to upload in the background. 🙏
