Poor Recording Quality Issue (Windows 11)

Open sarvarbek2603 opened this issue 2 months ago • 3 comments

Hello Team,

I have tested Cap.so on my Windows 11 operating system. The idea of the application is great, but unfortunately, the video recording quality is noticeably low.

I have also tried other open-source screen recorders like Screenity (https://screenity.io/) and ShareX (https://getsharex.com/). The quality of the videos recorded with those tools is significantly better.

In Cap.so, even during the editing process (before exporting), the poor quality is clearly visible. I believe the issue lies not in the export stage but in the screen capture process itself.

I would kindly ask you to look into improving the recording quality as much as possible. This will surely help the application gain more popularity among users.

Thank you for your support.

Hey, if you could provide more context on which microphone you are using that would be great.

Also if you could provide the exported file.

Cheers

Hey Richie, I would like to add a few more details.

I am facing the same issue. By video quality, we mean capturing frames. It clearly struggles to capture every frame smoothly and just freezes while my audio capture is precise which is quite evident during recording itself.

It's also visible in the final product. For ref, here is one of the videos I recorded - https://youtu.be/i3HzQPL-JG4?si=mGpx_P0kThGtIvC2

The video quality when recording a screen image is very low, the quality is good in the alternative programs mentioned above, but the screen video image quality in cap.so is poor
