dysk on macOS does not show mounted AFP filesystems
Awesome that dysk is now available on macOS. I am mostly using Linux, but muscle memory gave me command not found countless times when on macOS. ;-)
Not sure, whether it is a bug, but on macOS no mounted filesystems are shown. I mostly use SMB and AFP, sometimes FUSE.
Can you please try
dysk --strategy diskutil
and tell me whether those disks appear ?
Unfortunately they don't.
Ok, I looked into it and I see what happens. I'll solve that as soon as I find the time.
@tessus Can you test https://github.com/Canop/dysk/pull/102 ?
If necessary, I can share a mac binary
Thanks for looking into it. With the PR:
dyskshows the SMB shares but not the AFP shares.dysk --strategy diskutilshows only the local disk.
I'll have to look into AFP shares, I have no idea what those things are ^^
Before SMB was a thing, Apple had their own network fs. I'm not using it very often. I mostly use SMB on macOS and nfs on Linux.
Do you have to look into every type separately? I am asking because there are many remote filesystems. And what about the ones that are available via FUSE? Don't worry about it, when it is too muhc work. I was just curious.
Do you have to look into every type separately?
I hoped I didn't have to. But when some mount type doesn't show in disk, I have no other solution than to mount it myself then look everywhere in the system where I could find it.
I changed the title to reopen, focusing on the remaining problem of the AFP shares.
