Encountered a Version Issue When Installing "Wren AI for Excel"
Thank you to the Wren AI team for providing an excellent open-source project.
The "Wren AI for Excel" page on the Office Store website states that it supports Excel 2013 and later versions. However, during the installation process on Office 2016, an error message appears, indicating that a version after 2021 is required.

During the Actual Installation Process, an Error Occurred, Indicating an Incorrect Version. This add-in will not run in your version of Office. Please upgrade either to perpetual Office 2021 (or later) or to a Microsoft 365
By the way, can it support WPS's Excel? Does it support offline installation for Office 2016?
Hi @jonathanyb Sorry for the confusion. Currently, the Excel desktop extension only supports Office 2021 or later, as shown in the Wren AI for Excel extension. Due to limitations with Trident version compatibility and insufficient testing, earlier versions are not supported at this time. Please note that the supported version information displayed in the Excel Marketplace may be inaccurate. We hope to extend support in the future, but there is no confirmed timeline yet. In the meantime, we recommend using the Excel web version or Google Sheets if possible.
