Pop-up middle-click on touchpad doesn't work
Hi, I have set the middle-click to open in new tab. A 3-finger tap on my touchpad shows the normal scroll bar like a middle-click on a normal webpage. It looks as if the pop-up is not recognized by a middle-click, left-click works normal, all other middle-clicks also work normal
Win10 Firefox 71.0 SSS 3.40.3
thx
Hi Andei,
That is strange and may be hard to reproduce on my end. I will try this on a laptop when I have the chance and see if I can conclude something.
It could be a problem specific to your setup, but since it works in general, it may very well be SSS.
Thanks for the report!
Hi Canis,
I forgot to tell you, that it worked before like a charm. Since some weeks it doesn't anymore, but unfortunately I don't remember exactly when it stopped.
Best Andei
Hmm then it was probably the recent update to SSS 3.40, because some things have changed internally. Thanks for that extra piece of info, it helps. ;)
Hi Canis,
This is an issue for me as well. 3 finger tap opens the SSS popup but a second 3 finger tap (to open in background tab) doesn't interact with the popup. It just shows the scroll thingy.
I'm on the latest version of SSS from the Mozilla add-ons page, on Win10 Firefox 82.0.3. Below the version the about page says
Mozilla Firefox for Acer acer-002 - 2.0
Interestingly when I use a USB mouse, middle click works as expected: opens the popup and another middle click opens the search in a background tab.
Hi! Sorry that I haven't checked this yet :(. At the time of the creation of this issue I wasn't using laptops much and to be honest then I forgot that this issue required testing on one. I haven't worked on SSS a lot this year; I've only been adding a few pull requests from Igor, another contributor. Thanks for reminding me!
