The output does not report an error, but there are a lot of blank spaces ( Please see screenshots )

Same problem here under Debian 12 (octave 7.3.0-2, python3-octave-kernel 0.32.0-4). Also it takes dozens of seconds to print the spaces, which make it unusable. Any workaround?

Same here on arch (6.8.1-zen1-1-zen), octave v. 8.4.0, kernel v. 0.35.1 (installed via conda-forge pyhd8ed1ab_0).
