Georgia has become a battleground for voting rights. Following record voter turnout, the state has introduced several laws that are prohibitive and suppressive, particularly to voters of color:

• shorter mail-in ballot timelines
• requirement to request for absentee ballot application
• new voter ID requirements for mail-in ballots
• fewer ballot drop locations
• ballot boxes only in early voting locations
• limits in polling locations choosing their early voting times
• no voting on holidays (Columbus Day) 
• easier ability for individual to issue voter challenges
