Regarding Cacti 1.2.30 Aggregate Graph Issues
Centos 7.9 PHP 7.1 RRdtool 1.7.2 Spine 1.2.7
cacti 1.2.30
I performed a fresh installation of Cacti 1.2.30 and created all interface graphs for a specific device using the graph templates. Then, I used these graphs to create an aggregate graph from a template. However, I noticed that the aggregated graph does not display the 95th percentile red line, even though everything is set to default. My aggregation template was also created using the 95th percentile graph template.
This issue also existed in version 1.2.27. Is this due to my unfamiliarity with Cacti, or is it a bug?
My Cacti 1.2.30 was installed by default, and I did not select many plugins to keep it lightweight. Currently, I am facing two issues. When I create a device interface graph using the 'Interface - Traffic (bits/sec, 95th)' template, and then create an aggregated template using the same 'Interface - Traffic (bits/sec, 95th)' template, I aggregate many individual 95th percentile graphs through the template and place them under the tree directory. However, when I open the aggregated graph, I notice that the 95th percentile red line is missing. Thank you.
I performed the same operation in version 1.2.24, and the 95th percentile in the aggregated graph worked fine.
"I have another question. When I created three templates in the aggregation template, only one template is selectable when I go to Graph Management, select the ports, and create the aggregated graph. Is this an issue with my operation?
Does no one understand my question, or is there a problem with my translation? Thinks
I'm busy at the moment. I'll get to you over the weekend.

😁Okay, working overtime on the weekend to resolve the issue—I’ll do my best to cooperate with you! Thank you!
@TheWitness Please take a look at this issue when you have time, thank you very much!
Reaave the aggregate and see if it helps.
Reaave the aggregate and see if it helps. When you said to re-save, were you referring to the 95th percentile red line issue, or the question I asked afterward?
Reaave the aggregate and see if it helps.
I re-saved the aggregate template, but I still can't see the 95th percentile red line. If you have time, could you please help analyze what else might be causing this? Thank you.
😊
If you put the graph in debug mode, do you see the HRULE?

I have enabled the graphical debug mode, but the 95 red line does not appear on the graph. I have already posted the debug information. This issue has persisted since version 1.2.26, and at that time, another issue that existed was the statistical calculation of the 95 value for only one direction. Thank you!

Do you want the 95th on in+out or only in?
On your graph template, for the nth percentile and bandwidth, change ":max:" to ":current:", and on the aggregate emplate, changebthe total type to total similar data sources, not all as the sums in+out, which is why the number does not show on the graph.
Do you want the 95th on in+out or only in?
Regarding your question, billing is in principle based on in+out traffic, but in many regions, the higher value is used — whichever is greater between in or out. As for Cacti version 1.2.24, I believe it also follows this 'whichever is higher' rule, meaning it bills based on the larger of in or out traffic.
On your graph template, for the nth percentile and bandwidth, change ":max:" to ":current:", and on the aggregate emplate, changebthe total type to total similar data sources, not all as the sums in+out, which is why the number does not show on the graph.
I'll try the method you suggested, but version 1.2.24 displays the 95th percentile red line by default. The reason I haven't looked into changing various parameters is that I'm concerned modifying one setting might cause issues elsewhere.Thank you!

"I followed your method and changed the 'max' to 'current' in the graph template, then saved it. I also noticed that the aggregation template in the aggregate graph was automatically updated to 'current' as well. After saving the aggregation template without making any changes, I found that the 95th percentile red line still didn’t appear.

I found a clue to the problem. When I set the parameters according to your instructions, I noticed that one of the graphs showed the 95th percentile red line, but the value wasn't accurate. By chance, I selected the time range as "This Month," and suddenly all aggregated graphs displayed the 95th percentile red line. Then, when I switched to "Last Day," the red line disappeared again. Switching to "Last 2 Days," the red line came back. Could this be a bug?
