Connecting to external monitor with NVIDIA graphics causing crash

Open Cloud0310 opened this issue 2 months ago • 3 comments

Since Linux 6.17, I met problems with graphics both on AMD and NVIDIA cards with EDID and monitor. Once I connect the laptop to external monitor, the AMD graphics fails to read EDID info, and this fixed with 6.17.1-2 kernel. But I still get a completely black screen with my NVIDIA laptop (RTX 3060) graphics. I've tried the fix of force EDID file with kernel command line, and it doesn't work, but after connecting the monitor with a KVM device, the monitor is fine but with a 30 FPS limit on refresh rate, once it goes to 60 FPS, the screen keeps flickering. Anyone have the same problem as I do? Would be appreciated if there's anything to help me with this problem here.
