Make ISO For 3.00
I've got a 3.0U, and some information on procedures in doing so. I'll see if I can get a version made for mine and then check the compatibility with the European model. I can't make promises, I'm an object oriented programmer by school, but I am trying to take on making a version for my firmware. I'll keep you posted on progression.

The point of helping even if you dont know anything is that if the person who does know what they are doing shows the other person what they are doing wrong they can correct themselves and improve on the project itself. Also you just can't compare a crackhead and doctor to a playstation 2 exploit they are two seperate things. If a crackhead fucks up on a surgery the patient is dead. If I fuck up on some coding I can control z and fix my mistake within a couple seconds. @UtechAUS

I was trying to fiddle with it last night. I got to the first step, finding where DVDVIDEO-VGM was situated and what I THOUGH was the function, but am a bit stumped from there.
Regarding @UtechAUS's comment, the reason two people without enough experience work together is simple, they want to rise to a challenge and actually learn something of value. As I have said in other threads, I am an object-oriented student by schooling, but I have only rudimentary experience. I find this to be a great opportunity to learn, as many others probably do since this is a worthwhile project for the homebrew community, especially since it took around 20 years to finally find "the picture perfect, no soft/hard mod required" hardware security break in the PS2. Usually once assembly and low, LOW-level instructions are involved, I am OUT, but this project has inspired me to buckle down, learn new things and work this project as a hobby while I continue towards my degree.
Regarding @darkblood159 Sure thing. I have a discord, this goes for you as well @CocoanixDev and whoever else wants to join in trying to feel our ways through this. As I have said here and on other problem threads, I want to get some people with a common goal working on this as a collaborative effort. It's one of the ways the Doom mod I've been working from the ground up INITIALLY got many of it's higher-quality sprite work done, I found people who had the time to pick up the pace where I was unable to put out on the artistic side, and as I got better, I started self maintaining the mod much more since they are connected to other Doom community projects.
Bottom line is whether the people involved only know just BARELY enough to be helpful (me included), or they have NO experience, Or they have already been successful in porting, as Cocoa has been, it's the synergy those people are able to create that gets things done.

My experience in OO was from my previous degree (software engineering) I decided to go where my passion was instead of going into a field I largely pursue as a hobby, and recently changed my degree path to what will eventually lead to a masters in applied behavioral analysis in ASD. Growing up on the spectrum, one of my greatest passions now that I am married, have a kid and had a lot of people pour into my life is to pay it forward, and help others thrive who had the same cards I was dealt in one way or another.
That being said, I will help as my family and school schedule permit, as those things take top priority.
Although I'm an applied psych major, I can offer what I can since I have a pretty extensive background in hobbyist tinkering in comp science.

Not related to this, I would love to try to figure out how to create self-bootable PS2 discs and ESR. Seems like knowledge of hex code is necessary which I know very little about. If someone knows how to do it, I can figure out the rest. :)
@VersatileNinja oh legit dude! I was just watching one of your videos on setting up Pops on a ps2 HDD hack. Certainly will let you know. The bad news is that just like CTurt said there's like 50 firmware versions so wide availability would come down to people cracking down and busting them all out.

Hi, i'm from italy. I just signed up here cause this exploit is amazing ! I've got the same version and i'm following the CTurt guide. I've also understand what he did for v3.10, v3.11 and v3.04 and i was able to replicate what he did for those versions using PCSX2, but unfortunatly the v3.00 seems to be different. I've sent to you a request on discord.
3.00E would be good. I might try looking at it myself, but I'd be out of my depth.

I’m aware that this topic was discussed 2 years ago now, but have you figured out the key to getting freedvdboot to work on version 3.00? Also may I please join your discord too

I know where to find a ps2 bios erom file and I know a tool to extract it and read it, however I don't know how to use the tool whatsoever and I'm a bit lost :// if you want to try figure it out together, my discord is phinthelion#6242
