is there any way to get fmcb installed on a 3.00E DVD player console memory card without FreeDVDBoot or is my only option to order a memory card with fmcb on it?

Is there anyway to be able to play burned dvd discs on my 3.00U PS2 in anyway. I have the network adapter but I don't have a hard drive, is buying a hard drive my only way to do this and if so can someone tell me how?

You'll need FMCB for this but you can use MechaPwn to disable copy protection but it will also disable DVD functionality until you turn it off. There are some tutorials on YouTube.
