Almost at the top of README.md at the front page:

All you need is:

- A DVD (not a CD), preferably a DVD-R as other types such as DVD+RW put more strain on the PS2 laser,

Here are supported discs by PS2:

  • PlayStation format CD-ROM
  • PlayStation 2 format CD-ROM
  • CD-DA
  • PlayStation 2 format DVD-ROM (Single-layer, 4.7 GB) and DVD9 (Dual-layer, 8.5 GB) are supported
  • DVD Video. DVD5 (Single-layer, 4.7 GB) and DVD9 (Dual-layer, 8.5 GB) are supported

So what do you mean by ...if the CD was in the CD-R limit range?

i meant if the files on the cd-r disc didnt reach 700 mb

The whole ISO takes ~1.4 MB so you can write it on CD or on a DVD disc...

But I am not sure if you understand what DVD Player Exploit means...

In short it uses a vulnerability in the DVD Player. The DVD Player is for playing DVD Video discs.

As I mentioned before DVD Video discs are supported from DVD5 (Single-layer, 4.7 GB) and DVD9 (Dual-layer, 8.5 GB)...

There is no support for CD in it...
