SCPH-30004 and DVD 1.30E should I give it a try?

I have a phat model with SCPH 30004 and the DVD is 1.30E. I cant really find any info on this specific combination on the compatibility list since it says it works on the 30004 1.30U but it doesnt on DVD 1.30E with SCPH 35004. Im guessing it won't work since the DVD player is the thing that matters the most but wanted to ask here first if someone has any idea. Also, offtopic kinda but what is the R at the end of the SCPH number? I dont have it, but it looks like if I did, FreeDVDBoot would work for sure on my PS2 model.

2.12 (regions U, J, and G, if any other regions exist for 2.12 let me know),

3.04 (tested only region M in emulator so far, but guess most other regions EUMACDG, except for J will work - with English language set in settings),
