Hi. So I have a ps2 scph 900004 0B Pal with a dvd firmware of 3.11E and unfortunately this is not working on my unit. I downloaded " All PS2 Slims - English language.iso " file and burned 4x to a DVD-R final brand disc using imgburn program. I think I,ve done everything right. where is the problem?

Another question, irrelevant but need to ask. my friend had given me some burned (copied) ps2 games to me and my ps2 boots them no problem. Does this mean my unit has a modchip inside? if so why can,t I run any homebrew stuff on it. the f..k? 👍 I need help.

In that case your PS2 is already modded with a chip, which "[...] preventing the DVD player from launching. You do not need this exploit for a console with a modchip, but if you really want to try it some modchips offer the ability to temporarily disable themselves (by holding start when booting for example)."

So... I got angry and opened up my ps2 turns out it does have a mod chip (M7-MP788). huh... what can I do with it? can you give me link or sth to help me install freemcboot or anything on it? thanks.

I gathered some info about it, turns out this modchip does not support mcboot. there too little info about this chip on internet. but it seems if you press reset button six time it goes to off mode. I tried that and freedvdboot still does not boot. is there anyother way I can do this? what do I do? :(

I don't understand why you need FreeDVDBoot if your console is already modded ... Just burn THIS ISO on a DVD. It's working as you would insert FreeDVD-Boot – or in other words: it's starting uLaunchelf. If you don't have a blank DVD you can use a blank CD with THIS ISO instead.

I Just need freedvdboot for uluanchelf because this modchip is old AF and does not support mcboot . And other thing is this modchip is for copied DVD only ( I assume ). I,ve never been able to boot ulaunch on it. I thought freedvdboot whould be my chance. Thanks for the links but it says service not available.

update: I download the file with a vpn, thanks. I will try all of them.
