i think it may just a limitation of the nature of how this process works but i cant find a way of changing where a photo saves or opening te save as prompt. following your instructions allowed me to save a document that already open and i can save CHANGES to a photo but not make a new one or change where it saves

Hello @XDM-Inc , Exactly what options are you tried for save? Are you tried Export as?

Saving as anything. Trying to use the export option, or export as or save as result in a hang and nothing happening.(the file explorer won't pop up) The only thing I can use is export as legacy web and web. I have switched from pop os to Manjaro so I will report back after I install it.

Hi! I'm using endeavour OS and I cannot use export too. I wonder if the problem with CEPHTMLengine affects other function.

Hello :hand: i can´t use nor Save As or just Save to keep mi files. There are no workarounds that works for me yet but i+m looking. Also another functions are buged for me. like. When a start PS it just give me a black screen with the toolbar and from there i can open files. The ´New´ option just give a black screen too and if a press enter it actually gives me a new file but i can edit preferences thou. Trying to save something is problematic too, like, i cant save new files, i need to open a previously worked file to be able to save it. Export as also not working, Export to Web is working but badly, it disables and enables constantly. Thats my report til'now. Curiosly this is the most Stable PS version in Ubuntu that i tried :sob:

Hello @thiloschenkelberg , The instructions he is refering is to the Readme file is: https://github.com/CSMarckitus/Photoshop/blob/main/Readme.md. Sorry because I still can't find a better solution.

I noticed that if Photoshop is running in Windows 7 mode, then hardware acceleration is disabled, but the save as function starts working, so I made two shortcuts: one for automated operations and saving in Windows 7 mode, and the second for further editing in Windows 10. Unfortunately, the Export as function still does not work. Tested on Ubuntu 22.04 with wine-devel version 8.0

I was able to find some solution to this problem, that works for me Did what was mentioned here: https://community.adobe.com/t5/photoshop-ecosystem-discussions/no-welcome-screen-new-file-screen/td-p/9854370

My solution: Renamed the "UXP" folder to "~UXP" For me it was located under "/home/{user_name}/PhotoshopCC/Photoshop-CC/Required"

This has the drawback of having a "Failed to load the UXP Homescreen extension" error every time I open photoshop. I haven't looked into 'fixing' that yet. I would be interested in fixing that as well if anyone has any ideas...

Edit: This let's me use the "Save As" function. Export as still shows a black screen.

@andrisberzkalns thanks a lot. I taught it was a wine version problem. Let us know if you find a way to export.

我的解决方案:将“UXP”文件夹重命名为“~UXP” 对我来说,它位于**“/home/{user_name}/PhotoshopCC/Photoshop-CC/Required”下** 我的解决方案: **将“UXP”文件夹重命名为“~UXP”******对我来说,它位于“/home/{user_name}/PhotoshopCC/Photoshop-CC/Required”下
