I wouldn't say that it's inactive. Just that maintenance is slow. I don't know about lanconnected, but I'm in the middle of multiple other projects. Otherwise I'd fork this again...

eio_cli does not work with Python3

I personally would support updating eio_cli to Python3. I just don't know why this wasn't made as a pull request. Also utf-8 is pretty the standard for Linux in general.
