Notebook for assessing new model runs

I think it would be useful to have a standard example notebook that people could use for assessing the spin up and final state of new model runs. e.g. This could include things like time series of: globally averaged temperature, salinity, overturning at particular transects, Drake Passage transport etc. Perhaps some maps showing temp / salt biases for a 10 year avg at the end of the run. Including a comparison to a control run if it’s a perturbation run would be handy.

Do others think this would be useful? It could be easily put together by individuals from existing Documented Examples. However since it’s a standard notebook that may be commonly used, perhaps it would be useful to have a shared template?

Yes, definitely useful. I have one of these I use for my own runs, but would be good to have a recommended set of diagnostics to look at.
