Enable PHP-FPM status page

How to enable the PHP-FPM status page? I tried including a php.ini file with "pm.status_path = /status" but nginx returns 404 not found.

the php-fpm config is not set in a php.ini file, but in php-fpm.conf. And customizing it is not yet supported: see #94
